Real words from real gals who found their people here.
I found DC Gals in January 2025 after some of the loneliest and toughest months of my life. Moving to a new city after college is one of the hardest transitions nobody really warns you about — and I was really struggling to build the kind of community I had on campus. Finding DC Gals felt like a lifeline. I met incredible women who share my interests, show up for each other, and genuinely love making memories. For the first time since moving here, I finally feel like I have a real home base in DC — and that means more than I can put into words.

I honestly cannot overstate how much DC Gals has changed my life in this city. My entire core friend group came together through this community — the people I call when something great happens, and the ones I lean on when it doesn’t. I don’t know where I’d be without this group, but I know I wouldn’t have met the most incredible women who have shaped who I am here in DC. I’m endlessly grateful.

What sets DC Gals apart is the consistency and the intention behind it. DC can be a genuinely lonely place in your 20s — especially when everyone around you seems to already have their people. Carly has done something really special here: she’s built a space where ambitious, professional women can show up, be themselves, and actually grow — both in their friendships and in their lives here in the District.
